Dinner at Pino

When we went there at past 7 in the evening, most of their patrons have done with the buffet which would cost about P350 or so.

So we ordered ala carte knowing that most of the dishes at the buffet table have been through a lot of picking and nudging not considering most were dishes of pork or veggies with pork.

The only thing I did not like it there was this dessert of fried ice cream which was too oily and the ice cream inside was too small to notice.

The piano player in the background meanwhile played Filipino songs using just one beat (tempo) like he was wanting to end his repertoire very urgently. I understood. At his age, he should not be playing in public anymore.

UFO over Moscow?

A strange halo cloud over Moscow sends different reactions from people all over the world. A weatherman in Moscow could only say- "Several fronts have been passing through Moscow recently, there was an intrusion of the Arctic air too, the sun was shining from the west — this is how the effect was produced." Not so scientific, right? See it yourself.

I am whining and I will stop now

I hate to be mean but enough already of all these floods and deaths and miserable conditions like the Philippines is one whole suffering country. Just because imperial Manila and the rest of Luzon have been flooded does not mean we all suffer the same. Like we all should live all these suffering too.

The sun is up.

The birds are singing.

The fishermen have their catch.

The farmers have harvested food.

The politicians have their moments.

The actresses and actors too.

We have blamed GSIS already.

GSIS has blamed its suppliers.

And everyone has blamed everyone in fact.

We haven't blamed ourselves.

Now let's live our lives and move on. Let's bury the dead. Let's stop whining. Let's work now.

The asshole from the city is bored

I feel weird today. This weird feeling when you are so used to city sounds and suddenly you wake up with nothing, not a sound to tell you you are in some kind of a mess.

Except some birds outside.

Or the shout from a woman selling fish.

This is so weird.

I got out from my bed and as if by rote, turn on my Walkman phone. I feel slightly alive. Rock music blaring this early morning. But after the third music, I realized I was making a sacrilegious act. the quiet being invaded by an asshole from the city.

Oh my.

Maybe exploring this town would be more productive.
