Stupidity still rocks!

I was scanning my Google Reader when I came upon this article from Not Always Right titled Mouse to Mouse Resuscitation. I still wonder why at this time in this age of technology, there are still stupid people around. Read on-

Customer: I plugged a mouse into my computer, and it died. Now I can’t get it out.”
(We review for a few minutes and I deduce that he has plugged a mouse into his USB port, but it’s stuck inside and won’t work.)
Me: “Okay, so grab the cord and try to pull on that.”
Customer: “You mean the tail? That’s already in the port.”
Me: “Well, the cord shouldn’t be. You’re supposed to plug in the other end.”
Customer: “You mean the head? I don’t think it would fit.”
(Suddenly realizing what the customer has done.)
Me: “Did you plug in a live mouse to your computer?”
Customer: “Yes, I believe I said that.”
(I put customer on hold for several minutes. When I recover I realize I don’t know what to tell the customer I call my supervisor who instructs the customer to bring the laptop into a repair shop. I get the customer back on and tell him this information.)
Customer: “But Mickey’s gone for good now, right?”

I know I deserve a cholesteric morning

I was up all night and until the wee hours of the morning because my computer had a virus problem. Somebody put his removable disk on my port and it shattered my night.

I was so problematic I consumed my time calling and texting everyone with no answers to be found because my so-called techie friends did not reply back. My cousin Albert was the only person who gave me a temporary relief. Temporary because up to this time, I have more problems connecting to the internet.

So I said I deserved a Big Mac! And to justify my huge calorific intake, I walked down to McDonald’s from my place, about 2 kms away. One Big Mac, one regular French fries, one large pineapple juice and a refillable coffee for only 160 pesos completed my day.

Like a stuffed pig that I am, I slept soundly.

(McDonald's along Escario Street in Capitol area Cebu City is open 24 hours daily except Sundays when they end transactions at 12 midnight. This is the only McDo in Cebu where spacious parking is available. An open-air area for diners especially during evenings is likewise available, a good place to hang around with friends and people-watch.

No. McDo did not pay me for this.)

On Breaking Trust

When I trust people and I trust them my life. But when trust is broken, everything crumbles.

I found myself hiding things and locking them away. My soap, my shampoo, my toothpaste, my shirts, my briefs. Especially my briefs. That I rarely do. I even have the desire to put locks on my bed and pillows. Isn't that a crazy thought?

I started counting my things if they are still complete. I put passwords on my files now. My computer is the most whore-some of all computers but not anymore. I kept viewing at the files. What was recently added? Why are there nude men in my folders? I kept deleting them. How did they know my passwords?

I kept looking at my back now.

This is the most uneasy part of my life!
