Healthy Tip 101: Do something active every day

For us working most of our time in front of the computer, something active is needed so we won't just slump in our favorite chair and dream of a life built on TV. By active I mean that we should do something productive other than slouching in your chair and waiting for the porn to download.

We should remember that our body also adapts negatively to a lack of activity.

Ever noticed those one-pack ab you have been harboring (and hiding it by wearing the obligatory mournful black shirts) is getting bigger because you've been sitting down the whole day and even towards the evening?

Although it is a fact that our body responds only to intense activities like gym exercises, still we need to get up and move around, that is on daily basis, so our body won't languish and rot in complete indolence. Going for a walk, or doing house chores are simple solutions to get rid of our body's inactivity. The key point there is to perspire and get rid of the toxins in a simple way.

So now that you know, get the hell out of there and start walking.

From Askmen.com-
Recent research suggests that constantly being bombarded with stimulation in the form of e-mails, tweets and the like can take its toll on your brain, leaving you fatigued, impeding the learning of new skills and consolidation of new information. To reset your mind, unplug completely at lunchtime. Yes, that means turning off your phone, too. If you're able to, head to a park or any place with greenery to feel calmer and you'll return to work with more energy.

Disoriented

I woke up at 7 this morning and did some pushups to get the sleep still clinging on my eyelids. I slept at 2am by the way because I did a movie marathon. Some heavy stuff. Milk. The Reader (again). Body of Lies. Marley&Me. Bolt (yeah, heavy right?).

After some updating on Facebook and Blogspot, I did pushups again and while heaving my heavy body, I thought of breakfast at Jollibee. The usual stuff. Longganisa and two cups of hot chocolate! I didn't push through with the pushups and rushed to take a bath. All the while the hot choco boiled in my mind.

When I arrived at Jollibee I ordered what was on my mind. Sorry sir it's already 11.30 and we only serve breakfasts until 10 in the morning. I was devastated!

I am disoriented for the past few weeks now.

Yoga to set your tension free

Lie on your back. While keeping your head flat on the ground, wrap your hands around shins. Gently draw the knees toward chest in a slow, easy pull as you consciously relax your lower back. Continue for 1 to 3 minutes. Out with tension, in with relaxation.

Before doing this exercise or participating in any exercise program, consult your physician.

Good News Indeed

For those of us who can't afford the gym for a fitness exercise (translation: get rid of extra fat!) the following article from Yahoo! is a good alternative.

According to Shine, Yahoo's fitness blog:

This is all very cool and exciting, but what if you rarely exercise so your bod hasn't started doing all of the great stuff it needs to do? What if you just plain old don't like to sweat? Here are five kick starts to get your factory making those red blood cells and building muscle.Shake your booty. Call up the friends, put on a pair of solid boots and go dancing! Make sure you go with a sturdy heel, like a stacked wedge. Spikes look awesome, but you'll be aching in all the wrong places only a few songs in.

Take a trip! Instead of a rental car or taxis, get a bike, canoe or a backpack. It's amazing how much more more enjoyable it is to just walk around in a strange city or country.

Pick up the Honey Do list. You'd be amazed how much you work your muscles just by raking, gardening, painting, putting in a tile floor or cleaning out the garage. There's a reason that so many of those construction workers are hard bodies.

Play a sport. This seems like a no-brainer, but how many of us actually do this? And yet, think of the last time you played tennis, volleyball or even horseshoes with a group of friends. It was fun, right? Plus, think of all the incredible activities that you've always wanted to try! Rock climbing? Snowboarding? Boxing? Fencing? Triathlon? What are you waiting for?

Simple and very easy to do BUT I will start later hahahaha.
