It's Ash Wednesday, the first day of the Christian calendar's Lenten season. Try not to torture your observant friends too much as you enjoy the drinks/ snacks/ contraband/ swearing/ anything else fun that they've sworn off for 40 days. Then again, it doesn't really count if they're not tempted, right?
